Kekmet operation in My Summer Car

I spent about 10 minutes figuring out how to start and operate the Kekmet, and I am going to show you how to actually do it in the form of checklists.

Updated to fix the lists displaying in roman numerals. For reference this was caused by an unclosed ul tag, the same one for the operation one below.

Operating the Kekmet (some tips in general)

• Press (L) to activate the front headlamps. There is also a light above your head that you may activate
• If you are unable to start the Kekmet after following my instructions below, check the fuel level on the bottom left of the panel in front of you. Zoom in (left CTRL) to see it. If it is in the red on a new save, then make another new save as the Kekmet is supposed to be fueled enough for a trip to the shop. If it is empty and you have not driven it before then it is bugged
• Change gears with (G) and (B)
• Avoid letting it reach max rev
• Releasing hand throttle and idling will stall the engine, effectively turning it off
• Remember to set a high gear using the furthest lever to the right of you when in motion. This is recommended unless you have just started the engine and are trying to move forward
• If you take it onto the highway, be warned the Kekmet is slow and you will cause traffic, although this has no effect on the player
• Keep to the right side of the road
• When driving on dirt tracks, be warned that there is a drunk guy (check the wiki for more info) driving a green car that can ram into you. Be prepared to swerve and occasionally check behind you if you hear something

Starting the Kekmet

1. Get in the Kekmet
2. Pull the hand throttle next to the steering wheel two steps toward you
3. Hold the ignition switch on the panel in front of you while applying a little throttle
4. Release ignition switch when engine spins up
5. Set gear up with (G) or the associated key
6. Release parking brake to your left on the floor
7. Drive forwards and enjoy. Push the hand throttle back if you wish, considering the warning in the above section

Stopping the Kekmet

1. Stop where you wish to turn the Kekmet off
2. Set neutral gear using (B) or (G) as required
3. Turn on parking brake using the lever on the floor to the left of you
4. Release hand throttle entirely to stop the engine
5. Click ignition switch to reset it to off position
6. That is it, surprisingly simple compared to starting it.
